"At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned
and revealed them to little children."
- Matthew 11:35
Deacon Will Crowder wrote this book. Will has a high school education which has served him well; Will did not go to college and take Creative Writing. This is not science fiction nor a romantic novel, this is not for money, these are real facts. Will Crowder may not fit our idea of a messenger from God, but then we have rejected all the messengers that God has ever sent, even his own Son! God has given Will the gift of healing. I do not care what you have or have not been taught. Usually, if it does not fit our way of thinking, then we simply reject it, that is what I did. When I met Craig May and started fishing with him, it was a nonstop testimony. I would come home after being in the boat with him all day and tell my wife, “Man, this guy lives in left field,” but he kept on. Finally, I told my wife,
“He can not be making all this up.” We needed to meet Will Crowder. God still had to allow one of my friends to get prostate cancer to get me to go for him. It did not take me long to figure out that I was there for me,
as well as him.
Through Will’s gift and prayers God has healed:
(1) my friend of prostate cancer, (2) me of skin cancer, (3) me of Bell’s Palsy, (4) made my kidney stone disappear, (5) healed my wife of an infected tooth (during the prayer), (6) healed my brother’s torn rotator cuffs (during the prayer), (7) healed my niece of facial skin cancer that the doctors had been fighting for two years, (8) healed my neighbor of back pain and migraine headaches, (9) healed my son’s knees so he could climb mountains again, (10) healed my daughter-in-law’s back which was damaged in a car wreck, (11) healed my grandson’s stomach problems, (12) healed my friend’s hip that was scheduled for hip replacement; when he went back the x-ray showed that the deterioration was gone.
Our preacher was going on vacation for two weeks so he asked me to fill in for him for one of the weeks, and I said “Yes.” I told my wife I was going to preach about Will’s Gift. She said, “They will never let you preach again.” I said, “You’re right, I’ll just give them a good ole sermon from the book of John.” Then the preacher called me back and asked if I could take both weeks. I said, “Yes.” I told my wife, “God wants me to tell them about “Gifts and Miracles.” So, I called Will and asked if he would grant me an interview. He did, and I drove to Shreveport and met him for lunch. During the interview I told Will, “Someone needs to write a book about you so young people growing up can know that these gifts are still available, and that God is at work. We are being taught that this is all dead.” My wife was right. The first week they said, “We didn’t know you were such a good preacher.” The second week was a little different.
In John 17:14 Jesus prayed to God for his disciples “I have given them Thy word, and the world hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” I guess I now live in “Left Field” with Craig May. That was the end of my preaching at that church. We do not like to hear something different from our tradition. This book is different. I said all that to say this –
“You need to know what God is doing through Deacon Will Crowder!
